Frequently Asked Questions
MeepleNomads runs small-group board game travel trips that combine curated sightseeing during the day with a dedicated tabletop gaming session every evening. It's a normal holiday exploring a new city, plus a nightly game night with people who actually want to play.
Not at all. Games are chosen and taught within the group each evening, so complete beginners and lifelong hobbyists play side by side. If you can learn a new game with friends, you'll fit right in.
Each trip page lists exactly what's included, typically accommodation, selected activities, and the evening game sessions, and what's excluded, unless the booking confirmation says otherwise. Check the specific trip page for the full breakdown.
Travel insurance, visas, and personal spending are not included unless a trip page states otherwise.
Get in touch via the contact form or WhatsApp. A booking is confirmed once we receive your signed agreement (where applicable) and a non-refundable down-payment. Spots are limited and allocated first-paid, first-served.
Most travellers join solo. Trips are built around a shared group, so you'll be gaming and exploring with everyone else from day one, not sitting on the sidelines.
Groups are kept intentionally small so everyone gets real table time and the trip stays personal rather than turning into a tour bus. Exact group size caps are listed on each trip page.
A non-refundable down-payment confirms your booking, and the remaining balance is due by the date shown in your booking confirmation. Payment links and instructions are sent directly by our team via email or WhatsApp.
Full details are in our Cancellations & Refunds Policy, which applies if you need to change or cancel a booking, or if we need to amend or cancel a trip.
Yes. Every traveller is required to arrange comprehensive travel insurance covering medical costs, cancellation, and personal belongings before departure.
Let us know as early as possible, ideally when you book, so we can plan around it. This includes any medical condition, dietary requirement, or accessibility need that may affect your participation.
No, bringing your own games isn't required. Evening sessions are built around games chosen for the group, though you're always welcome to bring a favourite to share.
Accommodation is selected trip-by-trip and detailed on the specific trip page, chosen for being comfortable, central, and close to where the evening sessions happen.
Confirmed travellers are added to a private WhatsApp group where logistics, updates, and day-to-day plans are shared, both in the lead-up to the trip and while it's happening.
